This course is for CIM Foundation Trained Mediators to complete the Family Mediation Council (FMC) Professional Development requirements to remain on the FMC register as a CIM Mediator. You will know that as a CIM mediator you are required to undertake ongoing professional development specific to your child inclusive mediation practice. In the first FMC re-accreditation cycle post 2018, this was to have been a specific CIM Update Day. During subsequent re-accreditation cycles, ie during each 3 year period of time, you are required to undertake 10 hours of CIM CPD, 5 hours of which should be attendance at a course specifically for CIM professional development.

This course will fulfil that FMC CIM professional development course specific CPD requirement.  In addition, if you have already undertaken, during this reaccreditation cycle a specific CIM CPD course, this CIM professional development course can be evidence of the additional 5 hours required to complete your full 10 hours over the 3 years accreditation cycle CPD requirement.

The day will be a mix of tutor input and practice discussion with experienced CIM colleagues which will help to develop and update your skills and knowledge in aspects of Child- Inclusive Mediation.

We will include

–          Review of FMC CIM requirements

–          Recent research

–          Practice points for working with Children and Young people in-person

–          Practice points for working with Children and Young people on-line

–          Good practice when working as a CIM mediator for other mediators

–          Supervision of CIM Mediators

Please remember you will need to have gained 10 hours CIM CPD over each of your 3 years reaccreditation cycles, within each of your FMC re-accreditation applications.
