Trainer: Juliette Kinsey
As Family Mediators and Legal Professionals, working in the arena of family law, we work with clients who are in conflict with each other. Our focus is on helping our clients navigate a path towards resolution, but what happens to us on that journey? Our self-care and mental wellbeing is often the last thing on our minds or at the bottom of a very long list. If we want to maintain resilience, healthy working practices and avoid vicarious trauma, it shouldn’t be.
This training is designed to provide you with some helpful pointers about recognising burnout, what steps you can take to help avoid it, as well as a necessary reminder of why we must take our mental health and wellbeing seriously if we are to sustain the demands of our roles long term.
If you are a family mediator or legal professional then this is a training course, not only designed for you, it is about you.
Juliette Kinsey practiced as a family solicitor for many years. Now a full time Counsellor and Family Mediator she also provides PPC support to family mediators, and supervision to counsellors and members of the legal profession.
