Divorce petition allegations

According to the Solicitors Journal, since the Court of Appeal decision in Owens v Owens (summarised in the last newsletter) family lawyers have started to see far more acrimonious allegations in unreasonable behaviour petitions. The lawyers who commented suggested that this was for fear of the petition being rejected.

We are pleased that Resolution is still advising its members to maintain the current approach advocated by the Resolution Code of Practice, which essentially supports mild behaviour allegations.
