The Department for Work and Pensions has published a report on the outcomes for families after Child Maintenance Options had provided free impartial information and support. Mediation clients may not need to speak to CMO, but a conversation with CMO may help to support and widen the conversation happening in mediation.
The report shows that between February 2018 and October 2018, CMO helped parents to set up 21,500 family based arrangements and that in August 2019 83% of those arrangements were still in place. 90% of parents who contacted Options in February to October 2018 and who still had a family-based arrangement in August 2019, said that their arrangement was working well.
